As we know that Roman Reigns has relinquished his Universal Championship last night on RAW after he revealed that he has been living with Leukemia for 11 years and it’s back.
With Reigns’ exit from the company, the spot for the top guy is the company is currently vacant.
According to the Wrestling Observer, many top WWE stars don’t fulfill the requirements that WWE wants their #1 guy to be. The current WWE Champion AJ Styles is too old to be in that spot and various other guys don’t fulfil what WWE wants in "The Guy".
It was noted that the long-term plan for Drew McIntyre is to be a face of the company and he’s one guy that fulfills all the requirements as he’s young, can wrestle, can talk and he has the look.
It's also said for the time being, Braun Strowman could be the one.
Strowman is a babyface once again. With WWE only looking to fill Reigns’ spot for the short term future, it’s possible Strowman takes that spot and that might happen with him defeating Brock Lesnar to become the next Universal Champion at WWE Crown Jewel PPV on November 2nd.
